In an effort to get the CML project back on the rails, I've just installed a new development server for the CML proxy.
Here's what to expect from CML soon.
I've abandoned the CMLServ software requirements, which all means that SPRITE development has also been put on hold. (for the moment)
I'm continuing the development of a CML proxy which will push CML content through a standard 8bit terminal package. This will permit multiple platform support of the CML language. I still favor the 64 of course, but I will be able to take advantage of the better parts of several platforms. Imagine an internet designed with 8bit in mind.
CML will continue it's entry into SPRITES & MUSIC as I continue to unravel the MUSIC TERM protocol. Anyone who can lend a hand with information here would be greatly appreciated.
CML will further resemble projects like StarTTY which support multiple platforms, yet the primary focus will remain on web support / email for now. Many lessons learned in developing technologies for Temporal Vortex will be incorporated into CML without the requirement of a login 'bbs' type interface.
