another q-link resurrection effort... looks to be more ambitious than mine! I've been working on a totally different approach since awhile, can be seen at www.qlink.org. (see my reply on the yahoo message boards.) My project was intended for a more general public audience, I don't plan on going as far as you guys. (as in, full fledged service features). Going that far introduces issues such as scalability, bandwidth costs, legal issues, personal dedication, etc.. that I really don't want to deal with. Your project will be of great benefit to mine however, as convincing as mine is to the real thing, there's still a few imperfections here & there that can only be corrected after seeing the service in action.

It just crashes at the point where the Commodore monitor loads. browser exit. Both firefox and explorer. You should strike up a conversation with Jim about maybe linking to Qlink RELOADED. Would be very cool to have a web version and live version linked. Jeff

What OS are you running, and have you installed/upgraded to the latest version of Java?

(see my reply on the yahoo message boards.) I don't get what you mean yahoo message boards. Is it yahoo groups? I went there and looked for commodore groups. Looks like I could not find any thing talking about this. I went to www.qlink.org too. It brings up the commodore monitor with java in it going and going around like a clock, you know it's like logo. I click a part on it then it just hour glass for the last 10 min. That I had it open. Java all so has a "Warning - Security" I guess I have to close the window. It looks nice for what I can see of it.

I got in, but it locked up when I hit F7 in People Connection to read my mail.
Not sure the SuperQ screen looked like that. PEOPLE HERE is a PC thing, People: is SuperQ, I think.

Jim, what are your specs? os, browser, version of Java? About SuperQ, yes... personally I seem to recall there was no PC style HI/BYE/People Here bar at the top, and the Super Q menus were different - it had a SuperQ charset border with a highlight menu selector and was centered on screen. But oddly I found this on Uncle ae's website: www.qlinklives.org/qlink-old/Welcome_to_the_Lobby.JPGwww.qlinklives.org/qlink-old/AEs_GTime_Lobby.JPGSo I'm guessing maybe an earlier version of Super Q or 'Music Studio' ? had the same interface as PC? I could be wrong. Though, since there were no screenshots of the SuperQ I remember in action, it was the best I could do.

1.4, X, IE 6.0.2800
The code seems to still be running, but the menu will not work.
HI, BYE was there, but notice that It is not "PEROPLE HERE:", but just "People:"
