Call into the DMBBS Headquarters at bbs.excalibursstone.com port 6400! Still have some major editing to do but it's finally back after being down for some 10 years!

Congratulations! I don't think I've ever connected to a DMBBS so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like. If you don't mind my asking, what hardware are you running on?

Thanx! I'm running a 128d (64 mode), CMD HD 4GB (using about 4mb lol), and a 16mb Ramlink. It's connected with an aprotek com-modem adapter to a box running tcpserv4j. Tried to get bbs server running but it wouldn't communicate with DM. I'm hoping the next version will work with it though...it would be way easier to run. Payton Byrd is also running a dm board. Currently he's at v4 but I sent him v5 today but you can check his out also to see DM. His is at paytonbyrd.dyndns.org port 6400. Thanks again.

The only thing that comes to mind is you may have to turn off your local echo, or relearn how to read wwoorrddss wwiitthh dduupplliiccaattee lleetttteerrss. ROFL, sorry I couldn't resist .

You won't get the proper C= experience connecting to telnet boards via PuTTY. You need a terminal that will handle PETSCII and give you nice colour graphics. You need CGTerm www.paradroid.net/cgterm/. It faithfully recreates the BBS calling experience, only faster. It would be cool if it made dialing sounds and busy signals and such but that might be asking too much. Did I mention that it's free and available for every major OS? Check it out.
