Why do none of the 7404 interfaces have DSR/DTR/RTS/CD/RI in them? I currently use a basic, simple 7404 interface which works great, but Id like to step it up a bit and go ahead and complete the interface to a full RS232 interface. (To be fair, I did see one with flow control, but none Ive seen include the others).

Along these same lines, I'm looking for a schematic for a full blown interface implementing all signals correctly, but using MAX233's... I can't seem to find anything beyond the simple Tx/Rx one. Jeff, Leif? What kind of interface are you guys running BBS's using?
