Ok... I know most of you will probably toss rocks at me to trying... but I'm looking at converting a PC BBS (SyncronNet) to be Petscii compatable. What I've done so far: Disabled ANSI menus Set Default to 40 Col Ascii for now Rehashed a lot of options due to the 40 Col mode Selected Door Games that are still fun in either 40 Col and Ascii What I'd like to do now: All below Viewable only with C64/CGTerm Add C/G Movies Add Petscii Screens and Menus Anyone know how to edit/create Petscii files under Windoze? Anyone know how to convert SEQ files to PC Readable but not ASCII format? This is all because I am hoping to provide an interface for me to read Newsgroups, Email, IRC, and other PC BBS Standard Features from my C64. The only thing that really works well is the IRC right now. But that was plan ascii without formating. Any help or comments? ~Blair

Ok... I should have held off on my first post. I took me less then 5 mins to figure out how to use Petscii on a PC BBS. Mind you... my confusion did lead me to find out about the inner workings of my BBS software (which wasn't needed) and to find out how to change the commands and interface to mimic any BBS system you want (Which is nice!). So... my question has changed to a very simple but hard to find on the net.... What would people suggest as a really good, simple, and easy to use C/G - Petscii - Seq File editor for the C64 so that I can make and edit my BBS Menu SEQ files? Ok all you Sysops... spill your secrets! and point to the file url or source listing. ~Blair PS: I'm so tempted to begin work on an ansi to petscii converter though. But that would require a bit more free time then I have.

I'm not sure what everyone else uses but I have the DMBBS stand alone sequential file editor. One for the 64 and one for the 128 (80 column mode only). If you want to give one or both of these a try just pm me an email address and I'll send you a .d81 with them on it.
