Hey electroflash i tried setting up dmbbs48e using the winvice i got to the beginning of the install until i reached the part where it says "No Modem" is there anything i missed?? i did the tcpserv, opened it and loaded the winvice with the settings required, how did u do the install of dmbbs48e?? is there something different i need to do with tcpserv??? please i need some help on this, thanks.

Anyone know what has become of Fantasia's Return BBS? I can't get a response at the listed IP address so I'm wondering if it has been taken down or the IP has changed or what...

Fantasia's Return was taken down due to the limited capabilities of DMBBS V4.8E,while I briefly setup a Windows Based BBS based off of the BBS/ISP software Synchronet. I was dissatified with my computers perfomance using SBBS as it was more than my poor Pentium III could handle, Well the way I wanted to run it. I again was discouraged by my inability to get DMBBS V5.3 working properly....and gave it a rest for a while(Thanks Excalibur for letting me at least attempt to beta test V5.3).
I am now going through some extremely turbulent times in my life. Child Support Services is breathing down my neck because Jackson Hewitt failed to file my tax return properly last year, or rather failed to file it altogether, I will look at putting my DMBBS V4.8E back online, at least temporarily, if I can avoid going to jail for being so far behind on child support. And I was planning for the future when I actually, finally, caught it up with this year's tax return.
I hope for the best. Heh.

All is well now. The Sheriff's deparment contacted Child support and apprised them of my situation. A quick fax of all of the paper work showing why I was so far behind showed them it was not my fault or intention to be so far behind, or knowledge to the fact for that matter. So Child Support Services dropped the attachment order, so now I'm a free man, and now I can look to the future again, when my Child Support can finally be lowered. :\

Oh and I managed to find all the save files for my BBS(Thought I had lost them in an HD Crash(Thank god for external HDs!). The BBS is now online at 68.180.233.220 Port 6400.
