A user of my bbs is trying to get Novaterm 9.6C, TCPSER, and his Turbo232 to work. Last we talked, he was not getting any OK echo back from tcpser when he typed AT at the novaterm terminal.
I think he is using a radioshack null adapter.
If you have novaterm working with tcpser and a swiftlink/turbo232, can you please post a detailed description of how your hardware is setup (null wiring scheme), and the novaterm and tcpser configs?
Thanks!

I have gotten it to work myself! Important thing is to use the information in the TCPSER documentation to build the null-modem cable. The store bought null modem adapter I have didn't work with TCPSER.
I used the standard launch for TCPSER that is specified in the docs. On the PC, I have the serial port set for 38400 with Hardware flow control. In Novaterm, I have it set for SL/T232 adapter, and the speed set to 38400. Works like a champ.

I finally got this working well with the Radio Shack null modem adapter. First I hade to rip out PIN 6. Second J.Brain pointed out that the null modem adapter needed to be plugged into the pc serial port and not the gender changer I had to use... IE.
PC>NULL MODEM ADAPTER>GENDER CHANGER>9 PIN SERIAL CABLE>SWIFTLINK>C128
Works very well at 38400

Adding to the confusion.....
I pulled pin 6 out of the null modem adapter. I have not tested that method with Novaterm, but with centipede it has not changed anything. Same lock up issue....
