OK, so I have been connecting from Telnet BBSs from my Commodore using a null modem cable hooked from my RS-232 adapter to my PC running Tommy Watt's Hayes modem emulator... I've recently installed Suse and stay in the Linux side most of the time, the only thing I need XP for now is authoring DVDs... So what do I use as the bridge between the C64 and Linux? I thought that the connection was made between the C= and Linux before a Windows solution came out, but I don't remember how and didn't see anything on Petscii...
TIA

If you just want to have the 64 be a terminal to your Linux box, look up 'mgetty'
If you want it to act like a modem, tcpser (see another post) is your friend.
