Well, I missed the great /.ing of 2004, but I finally have my BBS done. I'd like to give it a couple of days and have a few more people call it before it gets listed on the master list at Petscii. Just logged in with C/G Term -- I'll try a real 64 later using CCGMS. The Board looks great! I'll wait a couple days before adding it to the BBS list. (But I might include it in a comp.sys.cbm posting soon)  Jeff |

Well, that was certainly short-lived... it would seem as though my DSL has gone down. I can't get to the BBS or the web page. It will probably be 5:30 or so EST before I can get home and reset everything  I guess having the DSL go down is better than having Image crash! |

Well, its back now. Isn't that awesomely bad timing?
What does it say when a less than a year old DSL modem is MUCH LESS reliable than a 15 YO c64 and Lt. Kernal?
I'm going to try putting the modem and router on a UPS and see if that helps it stay up...

Arghhhh!!!!!!
After all that testing, I just discovered that mail doesn't work. But only for new users. My wife and a couple of friends have been exchanging emails for a couple of months, and they still work just fine... Its just new users that don't work.
Well, better hold off a couple of days on updating the web page, Jeff....

Yeah, I had posted previously that I was having problems, I guess I underestimated how long it was going to take to get it back up. I had a problem with the mail not working, and pretty had to reload from scratch. Not all was lost, I had still done most of the time consuming work making all my mods and I had all that backed up, so all I had to do was reload and put all the upgrades on and add my modded files. Currently I've got it back up and running, and just working on a gettin a little bit of content back in the U/D areas... I hope to have the Riktronics grand re-opening this weekend. I'll post something when its ready.. Oh yeah, unfortunately I lost your login and Dr. Videos'. Sorry about that! |
