Hey! I managed to get file transfers working! I'm using some files from the Image 19.2k modem upgrade and some original files, but I finally came up with a combination that works! I uploaded and downloaded a 70 block game, it uploaded without error and then downloaded without error, and played beautifully! The odd thing is: I think I read that punter doesn't work that well over telnet, but that is the --only-- thing that works... Xmodem won't upload at all, and it said it downloaded but the downloaded files showed up as SEQ files and didn't work. Although I love calling from my C64 with CCGMS, I know a lot of people probably don't have an RS-232 adapter... I hope CGTerm gets Punter working soon...
The Riktronics BBS... Coming soon!!! Hurray!!!!

Any protocol that does NOT use code 255 will work over telnet. Telnet uses ascii 255 to signal for out of band data (negotiation and such).
Jim
What people can use is a simpler program than telnet that does not use negoatiation... Or a smarter telnet that has an option to not do negotiation. I can whip up a simpler telnet (just a raw IP connection...), but I'll check on options to telnet...

I now have IMAGE 1.2a working here, so I will test and see what works and what does not.
