Hi, all! Spectacular initiative on this - huge thanks to those of you who worked on this project. I'm excited to see it. I'm unable to access the system, though - is it still online? I tried the current Vice64 and a legacy version of it (using the very old instructions I found for version 1.06 I believe it was), and never got a response. If it is online and accessible, are there updated instructions anywhere for Vice or any other emulator? If it isn't accessible anymore... is there anything I can do to help out? I'm an IT guy, lousy programmer but pretty reasonable in most things networking...

Try setting the RS232 device to: 66.135.39.36:5190

Hah! Yep, that worked... thanks!! My computer bluescreened (compiling in the background) during the sign-in process, and now it says the account is already logged in. I'm sure that just needs to time out. Is there a current point of information for QLink Reloaded (example - current server IP, etc)? Thanks again for the reply, Ken - that helped a ton.

I had problems connecting the first few times and have several user names that are stuck like that now. I had to create a new user name to be able to login so I can't use my original Qlink name. The Qlink Reloaded page appears to be down and I have heard anything on when it might be coming back up.

I just tried this afternoon myself, and can see the serial data streaming through tcpser4j. I'm using WinVICE 1.19 (the serial patched version) and can only get to "Your disk is being validated." Then I can see the logon message stream by in the tcpser4j window, repeatedly, but it never connects. This happens with both a validated and unvalidated user disk. Something broken or is it a case of user error?

Hey Pina,
I was able to log in fine. I'm using Vice 2.1 under Ubuntu 9.04.
It must be "user error."
Sincerely,
Jeffery Stone

Jeffrey - Could you tell me what your setttings in Vice 2.1 were when running it in Ubuntu 9.04. I personally have gone through most of the settings of Vice 2.1 and none of it has allowed me to connect to Q-Link. Thanks for you help, SF

I just tested this today and it still is working fine.
---
Here are the applicable settings for use under Vice 2.1 under Ubuntu 9.04 (and 9.10)
Settings -> RS232 settings -> Userport RS232 Emulation
Settings -> RS232 settings -> Userport RS232 baud rate -> 1200 baud
Settings -> RS232 settings -> Userport RS232 device -> Exec process
Settings -> RS232 settings -> Program name to exec... -> |nc -n 66.135.39.36 5190
----
I use NTSC-M emulation, not PAL.
I run x64 from bash prompt. If you get a "broken pipe" error then you'll have to do a 'killall nc'
Sincerely,
Jeffery Stone

Jim - is QuantumLink Reloaded down? Can I help you with a place to host it 24/7. Please let me know if I can help.
Thanks, Shadowfire

I'm trying. I've been waiting for a DB restore, which I am now told has been done.
