I ordered a couple Cyberhome miniDVD players with the idea of hacking them into 2.5" monitors for my Propeller & Commodore stuff. I got it working a few hours after the box arrived.. Not bad for $19 huh? www.warrantyvoid.us/cyberhomedvdplayer.htmlJeff

Speakers are tinny sounding (of course) but nice and clear. The screen looks decent. I can easily read my 40x24 screen. (A little small, but can be read.) I can't really judge color yet, as I haven't hooked it to my DVD player and tried a real movie with fleshtones. (The mini DVD that came with it was an old ScoobyDoo cartoon.) Funny part that while I was researching this, the guys at Benheck forums gave up on it. Gonna hold off posting this further than the Propeller & Petscii forums until friends have had a chance to grab them. Jeff

That's very cool. I'm trying to think of a good use for something like that. Too bad you have to keep the main board inside, for that makes it far more cumbersome.
Any idea what kind of physical resolution that screen has?

I suspect that the only requirements coming from the mainboard are power and ground. There is another signal connection on the backside of the LCD board. I just omitted it because it was an easier instructional to open one section.
Not sure of resolution...

I just got a Coby 5.6" LCD TV that I want to put in my SX-64. It didn't work when I got it, there's a board called driver board that had +12v comming in, but nothing comming out to the LCD! So I ran a temporary jumper wire, and it worked. I am assuming a bad capacitor(surface mounted of course)? I checked the resistors with my DVOM, and they are OK. That 2.5 display looks cool, but sure is tiny!
