Nice. But I've tried to download it several times now, and all my archive programs tell me the file is corrupted.

Well it seems to not download completely over here. Winrar complains over an unexpected end of file. Can you please mail it to me? [edit] No mail needed. Was able to download now.

Do you need to install CBM4WIN first? I'm wondering if I should update that.

As I understand, the GUI is just a frontend that calls the CLI executables externally, so you can install in any order. The new version of cbm4win is now called opencbm, and it's V0.4.0

Do you need to install CBM4WIN first? I'm wondering if I should update that. The installer for GUI4CBM4WIN installs OpenCBM 0.4.0 as part of the installation process. Since you have CBM4WIN (which is very old) you should uninstall that first and then run the GUI4CBM4WIN installer which will install everything.

Doh... I forgot that. I was just wondering why I don't have any cbm4win installer, just gui4cbm4win...

Hi, I removed the .dll file with 'instcbm -r' and then deleted the old files. Then I installed this new package. When I try to use GUI4CBM4WIN, and e.g. click reset, I get this message:
\\.\opencbm0: Access is denied.
I'd read the manual but I can't find it!
Edit:
It works better when I unplug the serial cable that leads to the Commodore 64. If that is plugged in the program doesn't work, and I had the same problem with the old cbm4win. Maybe there is something wrong with my 1541? Then it seems to work but the directory of the disk is listed only in the log, not in the window where it is supposed to be.

It works better when I unplug the serial cable that leads to the Commodore 64. This is not a problem with the software but the fact that the C64 is holding a line in a state that OpenCBM wants to control, which blocks the IEC bus. Then it seems to work but the directory of the disk is listed only in the log, not in the window where it is supposed to be. Can you do two things: 1) Open a CMD prompt and navigate to \program files\opencbm\exe and then type "cbmctrl dir 8". Please list the output here. 2) Take a screenshot of the error in GUI4CBM4WIN. Thanks!

Heh, I always thought having two bus masters at the same bus was a bad idea...
