BBS Part III is truly yet to come, need to work out the interview schedule for the folks I want to talk to, but I'm excited about it. Part I and II focused on the work from the BBS Documentary (which is, quite progressively, licensed under Creative Commons). Part III will be all original material.
On the VIC-20 - you're in luck. Not only is there an episode on it, but it was given the honor of episode #1. It was the first computer I ever owned, and I'm lucky enough to have one again...
Coleco Adam - lots of requests for this one. Definitely will be on a future podcast.
Keep the requests coming in! It helps a bunch to get the ideas!

Earl Vic20 episoide was first I heard of Retrobits. Remember that you played Omega Race.. And I was at bus when I did listen it and wonder what people might think of me, when I had that smile at my face.. ;D Yes.. But.. Now I dream that maybe one day.. There would be second episoide of Vic20.. Oh boy.. That would be sweet.. Maybe after all other retro topics.. Show gets where it started.. Also episoide of old school hackers would be intresting.. All those little boxes that they used to call free and.. I dont remember who those two guys were who hacked lot big systems with Vic20.. Here we go again.. Vic20 is back.. And almost forgot those couple of episoids where you played retro stuff, games with your son were fun.. Maybe we hard him one day too.. Yours car has been at many shows too.. Few words about schedule.. I was going to end this post, but then it pop to my mind.. Schedule is good, but it also lost.. you know surprise what might be next week topic.. Its sometimes nice not to know what topic comes next.. Great show it is.. Keep up good job..

As far as a BBS Vol. 3, I'd like to hear something about the graphics used on various bbs's. I know on the Commdore c/g graphics were used extensively, and on the ibm's they used ansi graphics, but I'm not aware of any other graphics formats that were used on different platforms. I realize since this is a audio based podcast, that graphics discussions may be a bit out there, but at least a link or reference on what was available in the day. I also remember ccgms having a rle graphics support, and I think there was a bbs/term called music term, that integrated sid music while using the bbs system. Thought this might be an interesting subject to pursue.
thanx,

While it isn't really about retro computers, I wouldn't mind a short segment about how the podcast is put together. A description of the hardware and software used would be interesting. A look behind the curtain, if you will.

It's getting a bit dated now, but a Retrobits "behind the scenes" episode is out there - it explains quite a bit about how I put the show together: retrobits.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=24553Nothing yet on connecting retro computers to the web, although that would be a great topic! There is an episode on connecting to newer computers, though: retrobits.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=16398Keep those cards and letters rolling in! The topic suggestions are MUCH appreciated... - Earl

Oh yes please! That period of time is a bit murky for me, my retro knowledge fizzles out around then.
