I was thinking of buying a timex sinclair 1000 off of ebay. But then I remembered that they only output video through an RF modulator. I have no way to view that. I suspect it can be modified to output a standard composite video signal. After all, it only does monochrome anyway. But I can't seem to find any instructions for doing so.
Anybody have any experience with this?

Yes, Huckle.. this is perfect. I knew it would be simple. I think I'll go ahead and start bidding. You know, I had a Timex Sinclair at one point for about 1 month and it was my only computer. My C64 was broken and I would end up getting a free timex sinclair and a month later getting a free pus/4. Then I got my C64 fixed a few months later. I remember the sinclair being the worst computer I ever owned. however, it should be interesting to relive it again! hahaha

There is also a mod to invert the screen and giving you composite video out. It's a simple 2 transistor inverter. I did it to one of my TS1000 and it works great. I can't find the link at the moment being at work. But a search of the ZX81 should get you started in the right direction. It seems the ZX81 crowd do alot of modding on them.
