I'd like some input on a new project that I've started working on to see if this is something that would be a value to the Retro community. Most of the games for our favorite retro platforms depended more on imagination than graphics for gameplay. It's been my contention that part of the fun of retro gaming is getting into the "mood" of the game with all the packaging and instructions. Some games had combinations of minigames which changed the nature of the controls, etc. While sources for our old games are abundant, this part is always missing for me.... Hence the launch of: Documentaton for Legendary Games Here's a sample of what I have in mind for this project. See if this drives you to look for a copy of Skate or Die. www.orrville.net/dlg/skateordie.pdfJeff

I think this is a very interesting idea for a project Jeff.
The better websites dedicated to their particular platform are all attempting to collect documentation for all the games and applications. Usually this means scanning in instructions and inlays etc.
Your idea will provide a more personal and more interesting look at the game. Hopefully someone who likes the game would write it and thus give you an idea as you say for the "mood" of the game. Stick them on wikipaedia and it would encourage people to do their own too.
So one game down another hundred thousand to go!
