Lets see...... I used a Tenergy universal smart charger(7.2v-12v). I made a cable with a barrel plug to use the existing dc jack of the Lynx. Of course the charger says don't recharge packs with less than 1100ma, so I had to use a resistor to drop the charging current down enough to charge the battery pack without overheating the batteries. Which I am still experimenting with that too. Nice! Yeah, you don't want those batteries going 'sony' on you...

Are you using a NTSC DTV? The lcd screen is supposed to switch between NTSC and PAL signals. Although I didn't have a PAL dtv at the time of this project, I couldn't tell you. I do have a PAL dtv now, but it's too late... I would search on the net about converting NTSC to PAL and see what is ivolved of doing that. Where did you buy that lcd screen at?

Your new DTV is one of the best I have seen (pulblished pics) on this forum
Can you still publish who the seller of the Lynx unit...it is hard to find one in my area (BC, Canada). Also -- I am going to look for the 3.5LCD but if you have a source, please let share it with me as well..
I was looking at the old GBA portable unit but the screen is dark. Also considered using a GBA sp unit but it is still expensive these days... so my interests is not fully there yet.
1541DTV ---can we try to get Pyrofer change his mind again - to sell a 4th Batch...I really would like to get my hands on it...

JP,
I take it, the original Lynx screen is not suitable to use for the project...right? or could it be interfaced with the DTV...reason for asking is I may have source for the Lynx...but can not find any source yet for the 3.6" LCD..
Thanks

Thanks Nope, you have to have a driver for it and there is none available that I know of. As for a source for the 3.5" lcd screen, look on ebay. That is where I found this screen. And for a reasonable price. I still haven't added the second joystick port to the handheld as time is VERY limited on my end. Thanks for your comments though.
