I know we've been over this, but it has been nearly a year since I've seen this topic touched on and wanted to ask a few questions. First off, I have tried added capacitors to my DTV and all it did was change the effect, not eliminate it. But there is one thing I haven't tried, mostly for lack of a good reason. I saw a post here about adding S-Video jacks. Many people reported the video to be good. But my question is, does it eliminate the interference pattern? I already know the interference comes from the chroma signal. It is easy to test this in two different ways. One, hook it up to a black and white monitor and the effect is almost zero. Second, if you just reprogram all the colors on the screen to be shades of gray with no color the effect is zero. The color blue seems to be affected the most. I'm considering gutting out my DTV and placing it in a seperate box like others have done. I've become so frsutrated with the poor quality of the joystick that I want to use a different one. So I'm thinking of putting the board in a small box and making the appropriate connectors. If I do this, and use S-Video then will my video be as clean as a real C64? One of the main reasons I haven 't done this is because the monitor I like to use it on doesn't have S-Video capability. Just FYI, this is what I usually use on it: galaxy22.dyndns.org/shuttlecraft/psone_lcd/index.html
