It is my understanding that Quantum Link charged $9.95 per month with a $0.06 per minute charge for the 'plus' services. Obviously, Quantum Link Reloaded is free but I thought it would be funny if the system kept track of usage and produced an email invoice every month.
Obviously this would require more work on Jim's part and since it serves no actual purpose it would be at the bottom of the to-do list but the thought did amuse me.

"Your QuantumLink Plus Usage this month was 2,056 minutes. Had this been 1989, this would have cost $164.48. Your monthly fee would have been $9.95, for a total of $174.43. Thank you for using QuantumLink."

In time, there will be accounting added in, since there will be some '+' services. It'll be more of a credit system (aka, upload some files or QGUIDE or something, and there will be some special areas to utilized).
FOr now, though, it is (as noted) at bottom of list.

Come to think of it, there should be a PayPal account or something where people can make donations to help offset (and hopefully cover) any operational costs incurred in the operation of the system. If people donated even a tiny fraction of what they would have spent on Quantum Link then all expenses will be covered.

Well, I'll be. I never noticed! I should have checked before making that post. Sorry about that. I guess I assumed the mugs were the only attempt at fund raising.
