I can't connect to Q-link, but I got some of the d64 games I downloaded ages ago to work with Vice....pretty cool.

Time of day makes the difference.. Because the server is under developement on Jim's laptop, you'll typically find it up late at night.. Jeff

What's a good way to know when it's up? simple telnet to the port work? I'm trying to figure out whether I have a problem with my config or if the server just isn't up. -Keith

telnet and hit return 3 or 4 times. If you get TERMINAL=, it is up.
If not, well, IRC #c64friends chat on NewNet for me, or email me.
Or, wait.
