I been loading programs on the DTV to see how it works.
I loaded Mark A. D ickenson (any one know what he is doing now?) 1989 Digi-Player Version 2.0 from my CMD hard drive. It has it so you can play .RAW wav files with video on or off. I remember playing them on my 64/128 with video off they sounded better. With the DTV it don't matter. Playing with Video on or off sound just the same! Digi. sounds all so sound better on this DTV then they do on the C64. It's like Jeri made the SID better for sounds like this.
The joystick is not that good with some games. I loaded cross fire. It's a nice game to play. But the joystick some times made me move wrong or not at all. I would press it one way 3 times then it would go the other way. like press left left left then it goes up. Only some times. But it made me get hit a lot because I could not move just how I was thinking to move.
I loaded Sentinel it worked very good on the DTV.
It don't load from original 1541 disk to good. I think because of copy protection and biult in fast loads. I do know some fast loads work with it.
Maverick fast file copy works real good with it. Got some files for the DTV and I used D64 Editor on the PC to drag the files to it and save a D64. Then I use 1541EMU on a PC in DOS mode. It's a 1541 emulator using a cord I made that plags in the PC printer port. The other end is a 5 pin female DIN. I set it for device 9 and have my 1541 as device 8 I can copy files to or from it.
Any one know if the DTV with it other 64K of ram can be used to load new basic? like JiffyDOS? My drives have JiffyDOS in them and it be real nice not to type stuff like:
OPEN15,8,15:PRINT#15,"CP11":CLOSE15
to change to partition 11 on a CMD hard drive that has JiffyDOS in it all ready.#nosmileys#nosmileys
