Hi guys-
My DTV has a horrible problem with video interference. The composite output has almost a moving, slanted ghost image, which is particularly noticeable on bright screen.
I haven't heard anyone mention video problems, so I'm wondering if I got a bum unit? Any trouble-shooting tips?
I think someone said something about an s-video out. That would be ideal.
Thanks for the help,
8bit

I'm going to answer myself here...
After moving the ferrite core around a bit, things have improved dramatically.
Hope this helps anyone else with similar issues.

There is a reason for this, and a solution is being worked out. I will post it here as soon as I can.

I also noticed interference on the video, but this seems to be related to the position of the video lead - ie it's external interference being picked up by the A/V lead. It seems the DTV uses a low-quality A/V lead with poor sheilding (just looking at the diameter of the cable tells me that ) I suspect that replacing the A/V lead with a good quality one would reduce video interference and improve picture quality, but I only just got my DTV so I won't be hacking it too much just yet until the novelty has work off

I put S-Video on my DTV. I got a 12 foot S-Video card with stereo audeo too. I cut off one end and solder it right in the DVD. I used the Red audeo as the composit and the wight audeo as the audeo.
The S-Video looks super! Just as good as using a real commodore 64 with S-Video.

So, besides making the image clear, did it fix the color-shift effect. Some people are calling it a "moire" effect.. But basicaly where there is an interference pattern and the colors change around on certain graphics. I've been meaning to add S-Video to mine, but I won't bother unless I know it will fix this issue. Also, did you use any kind of resister? One previous poster said he needed a resister on the chroma signal.

Yes. I used the resister on it to get S-Video.
I have not seen any "color-shift effect" The video looks real good. I guess it even look better with a VGA monitor with the 15 pin plug how it is on the commodore one.
