Just thought I'd post a progress update on CML. I'm still working on the server itself. I've noticed that my new sprint DSL connection appears to allow incoming connection on lower port numbers. (NICE!) So the actual CML pages will be moved from there existing locations at orrville.net to the proxy itself at bbs.petscii.com (nothing really interesting there yet ) The proxy is handling the work of retrieving the pages and converting them to CML, however I'm still unhappy with the interface between the CML browser itself and the server. At present, the server is sending one line at a time to the client and waiting for the next request. This tends to be a little jerky and inconsistent, so protocol is high on my todo list. I'm expecting the new server/client to smoothly replace the old "CMLServ" software before I add the new ML for Turbo232/Swiftlink and new commands. Jeff

Is the old CMLServ and software still available? I've noticed that the link to cml.zip on the main page is still pointing to orrville.net which is dead. I'm just bitting at the (8)bit to get my old C64 online... now that it's the only PC I can call my own since getting married (the kids don't like the C64). And if I can get online with the same interface as Q-Link (which rocks again) I think I might be able to live with only a C64 again. ~Blair

That domain was moved recently due to a major server upgrade... I've restored the link itself, but haven't had a chance to re-invoke the CML pages themselves. As soon as I get a little more of it under control, I'll reload the CML pages themselves.
CML will still work, but you'll like it better when you see it as it's intended. Complete DOCS are included for anyone who wants to dabble.
