I have just recently build a RS2323 adapter, and made a null modem cable, and tested it with different terminal software. It works very well. But When I start tcpser4j.bat nothing happens. The cursor just sits there. And nothing happens when I send ATDT5551212 from within Qlink. Is there something else I have to do? [edit] I edited the original config, and now it says some stuff, i.e. RXTX-2.1-7pre17. It didn't do that before. But still. Nothing. [edit] Ok, something... when trying to use "other command driven modem" and type in "atdt5551212" and press enter, nothing. I press F1. Nothing, ofcourse. Then I press F5 to interrupt, tcpser4j says: 255172 [Thread-2] DEBUG org.jbrain.hayes.EscapeTimer - Interrupted while waiting. 255188 [Thread-2] DEBUG org.jbrain.hayes.EscapeTimer - Resetting. [edit more] When running CCGMS, and trying to connect to a modem from the PC side, I get all the commands sent and I see them in CCGMS, but when Q-link tries to dial, I see nothing in hyper terminal. Something is wrong... Hmm... And I get the commands into hyper terminal when trying to dial from CCGMS. And tcpser4j responds to that too! Hyperterminal pulls the DTR line high, and therefore also DCD on C64. But tcpser4j does not... DCD high or not, CCGMNS reports "no carrier". [edit] Now at least tcpser4j receives the ATDT command, but it just waits for first escape character. I have tested to connect PB4 (DCD) before, and after the 7404 inverter, and still CCGMS reports "no carrier", so naturally it times out. This sucks!
