Saturday night was a record breaker for number of sessions. I counted 13 at one point around 1am or so. Jim bounced from person to person around #c64friends troubleshooting connections at high speed! In the process, it was discovered that a big part of the problem was using an actual domain name with vice 1.16 (patched) seems that if you use 12.217.178.211:5190 most people are able to connect without issue. In this configuration, TCPSER/TCPSER4J are not required, however I found that with my "dual" connection situation, it doesn't get in the way. I wandered off to bed around 1:30 or so, and noticed that three other users had popped in sometime in the middle of the night. Looks like we're nearly over the connection issue hump. I will add detailed information regarding last night's discoveries to the homepage later today, including detailed instructions, etc for the use of Winvice 1.16. Jeff

Yeah, it seems like VICE doesn;t like the DNS name... We need to troubleshoot. I think it is a length thing

Nah, it's just that it never tries to resolve domain names. I can do a new patch.

I would appreciate it greatly. Jim is not keen on his personal IP address being hardcoded all over.
Someone also noted last night that the dialog has a length issue. qlink.quantum-link.org:51 was all they could type in.
