Gang, Jim has officially "OK'ed" my posting of the Qlink server. for the moment, you can use the following addresses. qlink.quantum-link.org:5190 or qlink.petscii.com:5190 Understand the following conditions: This has not been yet declared an "Alpha Test" (Has it Jim?) --So many bugs abound. We can promise that it *will* crash, or may require repeated attempts to get things working. Persistence does pay off. Many options are unfinished and may lead to sudden stops if you push too hard. Just reset both TCPSER/TCPSERj and the Qlink software (VICE) and go back again. It's highly recommended that you read the information on the website (http://www.quantum-link.org) to refresh on commands or learn the system. Links right of the main logo should provide valuable. The server may/may not be only online at a given time. This is a project *in progress* -- Best try it late at night, or ask Jim nicely. WARNING: Qlink project can and will jeopardize sleep. Have fun guys. Keep digging out that old Qlink information. logs, memories, software, whatever. (Thanks to Curtis for the great new graphic on the website!) Jeff

I just can not find out how to install the TCPSER/TCPSERj on windows or Linux! Is there a step-by-step text that tells how to install it. I like it installed on Linux but I thought it be easy on Windows. But it looks just about as hard to install one of them.

If you want to get really authentic, greet each new user who signs up with a welcome e-mail from "Jenny C".

Is it right that a new user had to put in all there info. Like name and address and credit card or bank number? This is a hard one to remember and I don't think any one has a screen shot of it.
You only did it one time. I hope some one remembers.
I got on with winVICE 1.16 last night. It was easy to set up and nothing to install it just unzip and run the c64.exe.
But I want to get on with my real commodore 64/128 I have the old VIC-1011A RS232C cart. I think that's the same Jim is using.

Actually, I have such a cart, but have not tried it. I can do that later tonight. I don't see issues.
