With all the progress being made, I thought I'd post my own configuration for connecting to the new Quantumlink. You will need to change the localhost:port settings when the server is launched. Might as well start getting clients ready now... www.petscii.com/qlinkJeff

How would I get this working on Linux? I think all ready have java installed from a long time ago. Here is some commands I did to see if I had java and run the connecting setup.

You need to install java on your Linux box (it does not come pre-installed.

I thought I did have to install it. I guess I did try it one time. But they don't make it easy to do. I will try some time again to install it. I know there is help on line and it's a lot of steps to install it on Linux.

You can also try tcpser, which does not require java. dload it, compile, and run.
tcpser -d /dev/ttyS0 -s 1200 -i"e0&k0&c0" -n"5551212=email.jim.for.the.ip:5190 -tsS
It worked fine for me, but Jeff had trouble with it. YMMV
