Room List is working, sort of.
If I send more than 9 rooms, it won't let me F5 out of the list, but chat is still running. ANy guidance?
Also, if rooms had less than 10 people, did it show as Lobby 08 or Lobby 8

Couple more questions
If you selected to enter a private room and the room you named was a public room, could you get in?
Vice versa?

You could enter a private room using the same name as a public room, and you would *not* be in the same room as the public one. -Keith Room List is working, sort of. Wow! I was about ready to mod my code to make the room name list global unique.
At present, I have a public room list (includes Lobbies) and the private room list. That would allows the private and public rooms to be named the same.
Could you enter a private room names "Lobby"?
If you exitted the Lobby, and then it filled up (23 people), if you tried to enter it again, would it deny you entry, or would it dump you in LobbyA?
There is a command called C3, which displays the text "Channel is public and cannot be made private". When would that have been triggered?

Jim Assuming you're refering to the Q-Link Rev 3 disk and not the later versions (Music Connection and SuperQ) if you tried change into a full room like the lobby, it would tell you the room was full and it would not place you in the next free room. It only placed you in the next full lobby when you first enter People Connection. As far as that message, I've never seen it and the rooms were never refered to channels. It could be a bit of old Playnet code maybe? During my hacking days I found quite a few messages and window types (the first of the four bytes of each area's serial # as I used to call it) that were never used in actual production. Hope this helps -Keith

Cool. Glad to see someone that remembers the system better giving some input! It's been a LONG time for me. You don't have a nice token list left over from hacking, do you? That would speed things up manyfold.
