Hi all-
I have been having a blast connecting to Telnet BBSes w/ all my retro computers. So far, I have connected with my C64, Apple II, and most recently my Amiga 500.
The only issue I have had so far is with downloads on the Amiga. I am using JRComm w/ BBS Server, and it doesn't seem to work. No matter what protocol I use (Xmodem, Zmodem, etc.), as soon as the transfer starts, I get disconnected. This seems like a BBS Server issue.
Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas of things to try? I also tried to use TCPSer4J, but I can't get that to work with the Amiga at all (works fine w/ he C64).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I too have been using my Amiga 1000 on BBSs lately. However, I haven't found any with any files available in the download sections. SO I haven't tried. I am also using JR-Comm.

Enable all the Logging options under the advance screen, and tell us the reason it disconnects.

Logging in tcpser4j would be helpful as well.

Enable all the Logging options under the advance screen, and tell us the reason it disconnects. I turned on all of the diagnostics options on the advanced tab, but I am not seeing anything additional to report. This time when I attempted the download via Zmodem, JR-Comm displayed the transfer dialog (along with the filename that was to be received), then immediately reported that it had been disconnected. Then, the transfer dialog went away and the BBS reported, "transfer complete". I was still logged into the BBS, but the transfer didn't succeed. Just to make sure, I attempted the same transfer via my PC w/ the BBS using SecureCRT. That transfer worked fine. With respect to tcpser4j, as I mentioned previously, I can't get the amiga to work at all with it. I am not seeing my keystrokes on the Amiga side register on the PC. I will turn on more debug info later today and report back. --Raz.
