RetroGaming RoundUp has something big to announce. In the upcoming October podcast we have an interview with the self titled "forgotten man of Atari" Ted Dabney.
As you will hear in the interview, Ted Dabney is the co founder of Atari and co designer of Computer Space, the first production commercially available coin operated video game.
When you think of Atari or Pong or even Computer Space, one name springs to mind, that of Nolan Bushnell. That is because much of the story has only ever been told by Nolan Bushnell, until now.
This is the first time that you will have heard Ted describe in his own words the real truth behind the advent of one of the biggest names in the gaming world and how he helped to pioneer the genesis of the video game arcade industry.
The show will be out in the coming week and this is one you definitely do not want to miss. Hang on, that's all of them.....
The October show is now released and it is a huge one but the interview alone is worth the download as it opens up a previously untold side of the launch of Atari and arcades in general. It could also have an impact on the upcoming movie about Atari starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
For those that use Blackberrys and have the 40MB download limit we've split the 16k into 2 parts so make sure you grab both.
