Haven't posted in forever, happy to be back on the fourm Sort of random, but lately I've been playing Aigina's Prophecy on the C64. It's a side-scrolling platformer that is most famous for being advertised but never being commercially released on the NES (although I think someone finally found the ROM). I bought a copy back in 1992 at a local place that was liquidating all of it's Commodore 64 software (Keizer-Tech formerly Comm-Shack in Keizer, OR). It's basically a port of a Japanese game called Aigina no Yogen, which is not widely known outside of Japan, I guess. Still have the original box and manual and all that (happy I didn't destroy everything from my childhood...) image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/6/926716_63287_front.jpg It's a really good game actually, with GREAT music, sort of reminds me a bit of "Black Lamp" at times. Still haven't figured out how to beat it....

Just picked up an Amiga 500 locally off of Craigslist. I built a null-modem cable yesterday and have been transferring many games and demos. Never owned an Amiga. Impressed isn't a good enough adjective to describe this system. So far, I've been mostly playing Chaos Engine and Maniac Mansion.

Ah, that's nice. Do you have extra memory under the trapdoor? Some games need that. BTW, we'll have an A500 set-up with plenty of games at next weekend's CommVEx? Yes, the 512k memory module is there. I need to replace the clock battery though. Sorry I missed the meeting yesterday, I was looking forward to going. However, other plans got in the way. I noticed that Lemmings detected the expanded memory. Now thats a game that is too addicting! After a nice marathon of twenty some odd levels, I noticed that it was 4:00am

I am playing two new Vectrex games, YASI (Yet Another Space Invaders) and Protector. YASI is pretty much pixel perfect and Protector is an excellent defender clone, just let down by the controller.
The title screen has a really awesome chip tune playing, worthy of the mighty SID
