There's a new version of DTVSlimIntro now supporting keyboard (in dir list only, CrsrUp/Down+Space). It also has a new AUTOSTART feature - if a file called AUTOSTART is found, it is started immediately unless a key is pressed or joy2 movement is detected. This allows booting by default to a Jiffy softkernal, DTVMON, BASIC, etc., without having to patch the original kernal.
