Hi there... long time not posted, heh. I wanted to discuss the subject of C64 modding. for some reason, I find it fun to add ( useless ) mods to my c64, but it's hard to think up things.. sometimes I just don't know how to do it. my c64...at the moment it has... - Blue power LED, - 2 fans ( one for VIC-II, one to suck air out of the case ) - Keylock ( HALTs the CPU ) - Segment display that displays '64' when on. if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. schematics / partlists are very much appreciated!

Could you tell us more about this: "Keylock ( HALTs the CPU )" ?
Love the pink trim. Needs more Hello Kitty.
Other mod ideas: Stereo SID, mount pots that act as paddles, more LEDs (IRQ, NMI, etc) , mount a uIEC inside...
If you do a lot of work inside it, mounting the top of the breadbox on hinges is kind of fun (and handy).

if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. schematics / partlists are very much appreciated! You could put a chracter or graphic LCD module in the case. I did it to my DTV: galaxy22.dyndns.org/dtv/common/hacks/dmurray-lcd2/index.htmlBut I have also tried it on a regular C64 and it works just as well.

Could you tell us more about this: "Keylock ( HALTs the CPU )" ? of course. it's very simple: just connect pin 2 ( or 3, not sure ) of the CPU to GND. I'm planning to do POT's, although I'd rather have real paddles. LED's for IRQ / NMI seems like a cool idea, but no idea how to do it.. I don't know what uIEC is.. sorry, don't know what you mean with this.. doesn't really appeal to me, I hate having to look at a small screen ( unless it's my gameboy ;_) ) I like that! I will consider this!
