I need to fix the typo. 2am is a bad time for spelling.
This cart will (should) also fit the Retro Replay carts that Jens sells. I got a sample of this improved board design from Dopple at the show, and I'll verify it when I get home (still in IL at present).

Someone needs to post the proper spelling.. I can't seem to find it, but in short its a Commodore cart that has the correct cut outs to fit a case.

I am not 100% sure, but I think the proper spelling is "Solakian" as in the company that molded the cartridges, Solakian Plastics Company.

Can someone post some current contact information for Solakian? Everything found through Google appears to be outdated - phone numbers disconnected, etc.

I have to wonder if they went out of business or moved. I just called information and they had no listing for "Solakian" anything in Fresno, CA. Any other information about this company and what might be happening?
And, more importantly to me (us?): where can we continue to get a good supply of cartridge cases for our projects, especially custom cases, at a reasonable cost?

Well, I'm most interested in the Solakian for the price. After the recent C4 getogether I was told that the Solakian cart casing is still available and pricing is US$2 for a minimum order of 100. The kills the large mark-up on the PTV/Individual casings.

I've searched and searched, hoping to find a way to organize a bulk buy of shells. Or just be greedy and buy them cheap and sell them for $7 like everyone else.
Any more information on what these things are, and why they would still be made? Why would anyone make Commodore cartridges today? They weren't that common back in the 80's, much less now.

Any other information about this company and what might be happening? I e-mailed Dopple and Jim Brain about this a few months ago. I visited the address they gave me and found the industrial park in which they had had their building. All empty with a huge layer of dust coating the glass windows. The story I got from them (a few years ago) was that the cart was the same type used for some sewing machine...
I cut out an ad for a injection molding place. They say they have low minimums and such, so I was going to see (mainly for curiosity) what it costs to run a C64 cart (and a VIC-20 cart). I suspect it's too much, but it never hurts to ask.
