Because of it's Loadstar roots, I think this board tries to focus a bit more on the beginner and the BASIC programmer. There isn't a whole lot of room for them on CSDB That's a bit of a generalisation isn't it...? There have been and still are new coders in the scene (one is still a teenager at the moment) and, although working in BASIC is frowned upon because it seriously limits the results, it's not as though they're all standing around with crucifixes, warding off the BASIC vampires. And i'll talk to anyone as long as they're not a wazzock like tomz... I'd also like to see more discussion on game development; I haven't been around CSDB much lately to see if that's happening there, but if not, I'd like to see it here. Of course, somebody actually has to *do* some game coding for it to have any meaning It's rarely talked about over there, but most of the games of note do come from that direction like Greenrunner and Bomberman 64 or the Freestyle Jam that spawned them (much as ALiH denies being a scener!) Me, i don't talk about what i'm coding much because my project lists change with my moods, but i'll throw in theory and code snippets if someone else is talking...
