Yes, lost a zero - now ten times closer to release! ;D Just thought I'd give everyone an update. I got a bit distracted from the game recently with work obligations and travel, but I'm now back into it. The big news is that Lime-Mack and I did a test over the Internet last night. We're both in Toronto so it wasn't that drastic, but at least the data went through a gateway It went reasonably well - the race condition reared its ugly head again (but I think know why it happens, and added an unstick key to the game). Also, Lime managed to crash the game on his end by sending a chat message that was too long However, the game did work and we managed to play a few rounds. Lime managed to score a direct hit on the first shot! Hope to get 0.06 released soon. The big change is that there's variable wind so the game is actually fun!

One weird thing we noticed. With Lime-Mack running a server, when I connected to him it reported my IP address as being 192.168.1.1. That's actually the IP address of his router. That's wrong, it should have been my public IP address. So, his C64 had no way to reply to me.
However the other way around, with me running the server, it worked perfectly. I saw his public IP address as the opponent's IP, and off it went.
All I do is look at the source IP address in the UDP packet.
Anyone have any idea what could cause this?
