Ordered my copy of "Digital Retro" after seeing the link on Earl's podcast.. (Thanks for helping spend more money, Earl!) www.digitalretro.co.uk/Those who want to save a few bucks, it looks like there are several "Like New" copies at Amazon.com The pictures alone make it look like it's worthy of a spot on my bookshelf. That's a great book. I got a copy at Chapters/Indigo (the Canadian equivalant of Barnes & Noble) a few months ago and it's a great coffee table book. Well, it is if you've got geek friends. I have a few other books that you might enjoy if you like Digital Retro. I'll post the titles with some links to Amazon if you're interested.

Looks a superb book, it has the Amstrad in which makes me happy! I cant believe the amount of decent computer history books out now.

It put me on a little bit of a book binge.. (THANKS EARL!) -- So I've also ordered an encyclopedia of computer languages and operating systems. It was published in 1989, so I've got high hopes that it's the same one I found in the local library when I was a kid. The one at the library had was fantastic, but being a reference book they would NEVER let it out the door. Each section (2-5 pages) had a list of commands for each system at that time.
I'll let you guys know if it's the same, as there are 7 more copies at Amazon.

Books arrived today... Digital Retro What a awesome book! The photos of all the machines just look fantastic! Bought my copy from Amazon (used $6.00) and it arrived in near perfect condition.
