Someone should include this stuff on the DTV Wiki. Actually I think we are unfortunately witnessing a wiki dying before it even got started if we can't do something about it soon. It's been a month since the last contribution other than mine (not that I'm much better, I just started later). I don't mind contributing more, but if I'm the only one updating the site it gets a little boring Also, I think a thing that is needed is perhaps a discussion of the overall structure on a higher level. I can see how this is difficult with a wiki, since people keep building on what is already there, but I think looking at the contents and seeing if something needs restructuring would be nice. A few things that come to mind. Make a more general page and description of both the PAL DTV and Hummer and allow some of the pages with general information to be shared for both, then have links to specific pages concerning connections etc. that differ. This would also make the structure of the Hummer/DTV pages more like each other. If the overall structure gets changed, I have found it useful to get a lot of stub pages in place so that people know what information was intended to go where. This makes it a lot easier to contribute. I guess this is getting a little off topic (at least off the topic of HP Jordana mini keyboards). Perhaps a separate DTV wiki thread would be a good-thing(tm), either here or on the DTV WIKI forum. I just haven't had the guts to bring it up yet. But I find it somewhat sad if we can't get the wiki going a little better.

After seeing how easy it was to interface with these keyboards, I ran out and bought a few. The current draw from this keyboard @ 5v is only 1ma. I also tested it on 3.3v and it drew slightly more than 1/2ma. It does in fact work fine @ 3.3v. So, I whipped out an AtTiny13 (8pin dip), slapped some code together and turned the Atmel into a serial to ps2 interface. Powered these from the DTV's onboard power supply and it works well... No more pesky walwarts.
