Oh well.. Nobody's perfect. At least it is correct on the page specifically devoted to the user-port-joystick.

I'm trying to educate the world about Spyware. That looks like quite an impressive project, quite informative. It's a task that will take herculean powers, I'm afraid...

I took a NES controller and added wire to the IC pins for the buttons and ground. I ran these wires to a female printer port. i used a printer to serial cable to connect the NES controller to the hummer 9 pin Dsub. i used this "schematic" www.instructables.com/id/EQEQ5DUUO5EQZJIM43. GND is next to the RIGHT pin. It works fairly well but it seems to stick a bit when trying to move smoothing from one direction to an other. I don't know if this is the controller wiring or just the games. I have noticed that I seem to be miss one more button for games like Contra. There is a jump and fire button but all I have is fire. Are the patched games patched only for one button not two? I cant play Contra with out being able to jump. How do I load .d64 files with 64HDD? When I do LOAD "$",8 I will see .d64 files as "$filename.d64". It will load but half way through the TV screen will go black and freezes. I tried loading Giana.d64 and a different .d64 game i downloaded.

It is all in the manual. www.64hdd.com/download/64hdddoc.pdfyou have to include the $ sign. load"$giana.d64",8 to select the desired d64 image. and then load"$",8 to load the directory as usual.

Yet another classic! Lode Runner (this is the cartridge version): www-acad.sheridanc.on.ca/~ian/hummer/loderun-hum.prgwww.lemon64.com/games/details.php?ID=1534 info Some helpful keys: In Game Mode: Run/Stop Pause/Restart game
CTRL-A Suicide - restarts the current level.
CTRL-D Toggles dig direction when using a joystick.
CTRL-J Use joystick. Stick moves up, down, left, right; Fire digs in front of or behind the player; toggle with CTRL-D.
CTRL-K Use the following keys to control the player: I: up, J: left, K: stop, L: right, M: down. U: dig left, O: dig right.
CTRL-R Abandon the current game.
+ / - Speed up / Slow down the game.
In Demo Mode: CTRL-E Enter level editor
Because this is the cartridge version of the game, it won't allow actual level edits, however, you can still use it to skip to a specific level.
In Edit Mode: p Play a level
I hope you get a kick out of this game as much as I do!

Okay. Great work guys. I've added Lode Runner and PacMan to my website. Originally, I had imagined about 10 games tops ever being converted. If many more pop up, I may have to re-design the games section for the hummer as the one page is getting too large! That is a good, thing, of course!

I will have to see if I can't pull of another marathon run and convert another dub. Please don't forget to add jtwinters to the Pac Man credits, he performed quite a bit of the work as well.
