The more games you convert, the more I realize that you and I have very similar taste in games (platformers rule!). You should take a look at Bagitman which I think might appeal to you. Admittedly I have no idea if it does or does not require conversion.

Spelunker doesn't work right for me. When you press the button it says it is entereing the elevator, but goes into self-play demo mode. Every time I hit the button it says it is starting the game, but instead it starts the demo.

I had nothing better to do (as my 1541-III-DTV is still doesn't work) so I decided to patch my own game to use the userport: student.forssa.hamk.fi/~fonuotiha/pallo.zipObviously "pallo_hummer.prg" is the userport version. This game is certainly no classic, as it's in C64CGC 2006

Nojoopa, does this mean that the latest hot tips about proper grounding didn't work :-? Or did you try it yet?

Haven't had a chance to try the proper grounding yet, hence my "release" But this is getting way offtopic...

I had nothing better to do (as my 1541-III-DTV is still doesn't work) so I decided to patch my own game to use the userport It only appears to use two directions and a button. Believe it or not, this could be made to work with the Hummer's 3 existing joystick lines. But most people don't even have them connected, so the userport is probably better. But keyboard control would be just as good for a game like this. I played it for 10 minutes or so in VICE, it is a neat concept. I think it would be even better with some sound effects, maybe some music, and some animation for the bombs and stuff. I'm not trying to criticize you, I'm just saying it is a good game concept that I've never seen before, and with more work it could really be something fantastic.

I have had that error with Spelunker as well. To clear it out use the Runstop/Restore key combo to reset the game code. On my PS/2 Keyboard it's the 'ESC' & 'Pause Break' keys that will reset the game.
Once I did this it was taken out of the demo game loop. Not sure why this little bug is popping up. I will reprocess the game and see if I can get it to work a little better.
This was a conversion from the Hungarian site, a single file TAP image that seems to have a few bad bits. Notice the alias on the lower corner of the number five in the score as well as the corrupt data in the intro when the platform of spelunkers goes up again.
Let me know if the 'Run Stop' & 'Restore' works for you.

Let me know if the 'Run Stop' & 'Restore' works for you. Okay, I'll try that when I get home. I did notice the corruption but I thought it was just because of an incompatibility with the DTV. THe music doesn't sound right either. I just figured that was the DTV's SID emulation.

'Kwik' works mighty fine on the Hummer. Top 10 on my 'must flash' list.
Sorry. Wrong thread (pulls a 180) I'll mod my userport tonight or tomorrow (add [2:0]), and see if I'm getting the same results as David. Thanks mucho.

I do love the platform games as well as shoot'em up's.
Here is a new addition to the growing collection. This game is called Abyss and is by far one of the best C64 games ever to be produced. The game play is a real challenge and so unique I think it deserves much more recognition, so here you go:
ABYSS for the C64-Hummer.
link available at top of thread.
Also this music is in a class with the greats, R.H., GW, JT etc. Why was there never any more music from this person? Does anyone know more to this riddle?

Abyss must not have been that popular. I've never heard of it, and I can't seem to locate it anywhere on the web for the regular C64 (so I can try playing it in VICE while I'm at work!) But I'll try it out on my hummer tonight.

Also, remember the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy's first rule, Don't Panic!
You don't need to press F7 to start, just press fire!

Some download stats for the games I have hosted on my site. Of course this wont include the count from David's site. Game | Downloads | date posted | SATAN-HUM.PRG | 15 | 10-8-2006 | montez-hum.prg | 5 | 10-10-2006 | spell-dst.prg | 3 | 10-16-2006 | space-har.prg | 5 | 10-17-2006 | ghosts-gob.prg | 6 | 10-17-2006 | giana.d64 | 5 | 10-18-2006 | hummer-games1.d64 | 2 | 10-18-2006 | space-har-us.prg | 2 | 10-19-2006 | spelunker.prg | 3 | 10-19-2006 | abyss-hum.d64 | 1 | 10-24-2006 |
This is with my I.P. filtered out. 9 games converted in 11 days. Not so bad I guess.
