I just realized I haven't showed off my server rack here ;D
It's a 60x60x180cm 19" cabinet. Freebie. It would have been thrown away anyway.
At the bottom there is a wooden enclosure with four 120mm fans and electronic fanguard. They suck air from the floor via a filter up in the cabinet.
On the first shelf I have an UPS. It's an APC smart-ups 1000. Didn't cost me a thing. It was thrown in a room for junk electronics. Dead batteries. Took it home, cleaned it, and replaced the batteries with a pair I found a couple of weeks earlier. As good as new!
Above that is my server. The case is from a very old Stingray server cabinet (1980 something) and it is 6U high. 2mm sheet metal! I reused some of the innards from my old noname tower case. Three 120mm fans makes sure there is enogh fresh air in there. Got the case very cheap when a computer store moved to another location. "everything got to go!"-style sale.
And then there is a shelf on telescope rails (freebie) on which a keyboard and a mosue is placed.
Above that is another shelf with a 15" TFT monitor and router.
This is a never ending project.
things to come is burglar alarm, temperature sensors around the house, remote control over phone, light control etc...

No the fridge is not from Cisco. It's one of those soft magnetic plates.
Fridge you say? Yes! It's in the kitchen. ;D
You know the kitchen is the place to be in. It's there everything happens...
