Hi all together. It was hard to get an DTV in Germany Now I get one from a friend in UK, also arrived 2 from this commodore shop. I am living in Germany, and I find as close to NO infos about DTV in G. and so startet a translated summary on my homepage www.binkino.de/cbm.htm follow the C= logo and then "assimilated" where my very-old, and actual screwings and hackings are. I am just working on my site and complete lot's things in the next time, hope to find all this time. Now to my question. I want to build a C64 Laptop. An old dream may come true !!! ;-) For this it may be interesting to have a storage. I can't go the way of the 64HDD solution, there will be not enough space in the Laptop and this should be a portable unit, without need of a truck to transport :) I will only use the case of a portable unit, only the DTV Hardware and what I need to do this. I read about this USB-Stick question here, and in the GO64 shop I read about the Expansion card comming next weeks to plug a SD-Card in, like in DigiCams and MP3 sticks. Wouldn't it be posible to create a controller for the IEC that communiates to a SD-Card (or other cards) For my solution of a portable C64 I will use one DTV, a portable DVD player with Display (cheapest way will be a broken one from ebay) ________________________________________ 8 bit und ich bin voll """

robthecat, you're full of poo.
one thread you ask questions like 'how do you replace the ROM' , 'how do you remove the epoxy'
the other you state you have the skills to design an IEC to MMC interface
clearly if you can acheive the latter, you'd be able to answer the former yourself

if you read my post carefully (!!) you will know that is different to be an Software / Hardware Developer or analytical chemist !!
I have NO CLUE how to remove that sh*t Epoxy. But I post an idea to use a Rom, instead of the RAM Chip inside the DTV.
I started in december 2004 on my Page with an MMC Interface for the C64- on the Userport. At this time I dont know nothing about DTV64. Now I found, is better to build the whole project in a seperate Drive coz, I cannot use multipart games because of Kernal incompatiblities.
When I verbalised that fact incorrect, please remember I am not an english native speaker (yet:)
