Hi, I'm new at this forum so maybe this is not the right place to put this question. Anyway, I have ordered (but have not got yet) a C64 DTV out of pure and beautiful nostalgy, because I just loved it way back then... What I want to know is how long an average alkaline battery set lasts in this gadget? I cannot tell the difference between a soldering iron and a printed circuit board so I won't hack it, but maybe I should get a rechargeable battery set. Experiences, anyone?

I'm a big fan of "Duracell" myself.... They seem to give the most playtime for my gamesticks...

Well, 45 reads, and not one of them has exhausted a set of batteries? Either the C64DTV runs very long on a set, or it is such a piece of s#*t that nobody has played with it long enough to see how long it lasts (or maybe everyone is a skilled hacker and the first thing they do is changing over to car batteries, nuclear power stations, steam engines, PC power supplies, Galvan batteries...) ;D ;D ;D

Mine had around 30-40 hours on it when I changed mine. The WoC show gave the unit a real workout.
