A couple of questions - not sure anyone would know or not. Is the C64 DTV legally licensed? Will its production get shut down after the new company takes over?
Also, why are some of the dtv's branded with commodore 64 and others just have c64? I have one of each, but not sure why they would have changed it...
thanks!

I had wondered the same thing.. Appearently Moloch thinks it is licensed (is that name from Blake's 7?) But I was curious when the Commodore buyout mentioned pressing charges against copyright violations taking place in the united states. I can't think of any other product in the US with the Commodore name on it.. and I had also wondered why the change of the name from Commodore 64 to C64. Both of my DTVs say Commodore64 on them.

The legal charges, as far as I know, refer to people selling those CDs filled with games, roms, etc. One example is the "C64 Classix" CD.
I know it's licensed - not think. Follow the public information about the producers, maybe even email the software guys if you really must. All the information you need to know is out there.
