I sign on periodically, but am usually the only one there. Just wondering if there is any status updates the Qlink Reloaded or any new info.
Sincerely,
Jeffery S. Stone

i think everyone who logs on thinks they are the only one! seems like we time it so nobody else is on!

There can be only one!Nah. I'm interested in QLink still, maybe we can schedule a time for a nightly chat or something? Otherwise we won't know when the other people are around. Or distribute IM contact info, or something. Plus, I'm not sure how I can help out to make the service blossom... there's so many categories when you go exploring the menus. Metal Mage needs to help out with that online content management system! I'll bug him about it the next time I'm on his BBS, Retrograde. (You folks can hop on too, the telnet address is in the Telnet BBS section.) Not that we're competing or anything.

Too bad there's not a way of listing everyone who's online, at once, instead of selecting a buddy's name and seeing where they are in the system. On MUDs/MUCKs it's called a "watchfor" list, where you can list online friends at login or with a simple command.

That's not a bad idea although the weekly #c64friends chat is accessible through Q-Link so that's always an alternative. It probably would be better to have a Q-Link specific night though as the volume of traffic in #c64friends on a Saturday night is hard to deal with through the Q-Link interface. Maybe this idea should be posted in c.s.c to see if there's any interest?

I do think we should come up with a designated day/time for all of us to meet on q-link. The one thing that worked in the past was tuesday and thursdays trivia nights that would get about 20 people on at the same time.
Anybody want to throw out a good day/time for all of us still interested to meet up? I submit Thursday nights at 7 PST (9 CST, 10 EST) since that would make sure everybody in the US should be home from work and all of that.
Thoughts?

Has anyone actually put together a D81 that has the 1581 compatible files and SwiftLink routines in a working state? I can't get the swiftlink patch to work, myself.
