It looks like the original Q-Link had an encyclopedia... Even if that's been saved, it is probably long out of date and that got me thinking, how about basing the Reloaded encyclopedia on Wikipedia. There would be no legal issues to doing so and it would give us a HUGE selection of articles. I'm not sure if this could be added to the Linux backend automatically, but I'm pretty certain that we could get something working manually. I'd be willing to head up the non-coding aspects of this project to help Q-Link rule the world again.

Hmmm, making a 'protocol' section of a Wiki for me and Jim to dump what we know into would be cool too. I LOVE Wikis.

So how would I edit the encyclopedia anyway? Would I just e-mail stuff to Jim?

Well, we use MediaWiki at work, and it's updatable by everyone. I just don't have a server of my own to run MySql on.

I was thinking of hand-coverting various entries rather than interfacing Q-Link to Wikipedia's servers... The interfacing might work eventually but we nned the content NOW.
