SuperQ

I'm trying to figure out how to add SuperQ to the Qlink program disk. I have the main SuperQ disk, as well as a SuperQ patch (this just adds a function so you can leave SuperQ to go to any of the other Qlink areas). But I cannot find any file to add SuperQ to the Qlink disk. If anyone remembers or has whatever file is needed, it could help. Thanks

There wasn't really....yeah, there was that superq patch, but....
You simply switched disks and selected 'people connection'. SuperQ has files named TLK and NTK (the two ways PC could be loaded), and it sort of 'takes over' after that.
I've verified this works in VICE, and have had some success with the SuperQ command set. But I still have not figured out how to send a menu down. It's not built in like with PC.

I got it on my 1581 disk. This is the last one I was on the real Q-Link with. It works with Swift Link RS232 at 2400 baud. When I went to People Connection it showed me People Connection or SuperQ I just press F1 or F3 and it will boot one or the other. I have not tested SuperQ yet with this Q-Link Jim did. I am not sure if Jim has it working. But I think you can play SID music with it and all so save the People Connection Text to a file. I guess other things too. I can't remember what all. I just tested it with SuperQ it just come back with a black screen after the load logo of the 1541 drive and put a timer like 00:00:00 in wight numbers at the top of the screen. This my be a 2400 baud patch debug thing. Here is a photo of my SuperQ or People Connection screen.

I tried as Keith said above (thanks Keith). I get the SuperQ logo show instead of the people connection screen, but it loads and goes to a black screen and then stops. Might be a bad copy now, doesn't work right in Winvice, or just not implemented into the server just yet....
If anyone can test this, post their results here...

Sorry, there is a server patch you need to get past the black screen.
It sends a packet 23 with a CRC of 0. The server would normally reject this as an invalid CRC, but should accept it. Once you get past that, then you can send commands as per normal.

At least my server does not support SuperQ or the games yet. So, no need to test (they will fail)
I will post when it does have support. Until then, try the other stuff.

I would have to look. I think I have the patch on some disk. I just don't remember at all.
