Was digging around to find my old Q-Link disk. I found it in the box with my Commodore 1200 baud modem. But here is the kicker, I also found the little Q-Link overlay that you would set over your F KEYS so you would know what key does what. Looks brand new! F1 = SELECT F3 = SAVE F5 = CANCEL F7 = MENU/HELP Just thought I would ask if anyone else has found any other old Q-Link goodies while getting ready for the NEW Q-Link? I have still not been able to get on the new Q-Link system yet but I am guessing that it has to do with the fact that I am not getting on late enough. Am getting NO ANSWER prompt when I try to log on. Dark Vulcan RCBBS SYSOP telnet://rcbbs.dyndns.org:23

I have the overlays for both the 64 and 128, I'm waaayy overdue to get them scanned. (sorry) As soon as I can get access to a scanner, I'll have it done and posted so folks can use'em. Jeff

You can use the up/down arrow keys in People Connection and other chat areas to scroll up and down the previous conversation..
You know.. I almost seem to remember a how-to book for Qlink.. It was fairly thick, not like a pamphlet.. Or was that compuserve, or both, or am I just losing my mind?
I would imagine if there is a book like that, that it would be chock full of useful info and screenshots that Jim could use to piece things back together.

Yes, we need a scan of the book(s). I have the 91 update, but we need all the years to make a complete library.

Just found the list of phone numbers that were used for Q-Link. WOW! That brings back some memories! Dark Vulcan RCBBS SYSOP telnet://rcbbs.dyndns.org:23

Just found the list of phone numbers that were used for Q-Link. WOW! That brings back some memories! Heh. In other words, the master list of Telenet/Tymnet/Datapac access numbers. An essential part of any phreaker's library. (whistles innocently)

I found mine. It's only from 1988. Can this help? If so I will bring it to the Expo. I remember I got this because it was so long at 1200 baud listing the files and that was on + time!

If you can arrange with someone else here to scan it, that'd be better.

It's 272 pages! I never scan that many pages and I guess it would take most of a CD to store the images on. Or I guess there is some programs that can take image and make it in to text.
I just think it be to hard to scan. But maybe not if you have the right tools.

I'll have to check with my father to see what other goodies he might still have.. but I do have most of two Q-Link 5.25 floppy notepads that I ordered sometime during my years there. (Not bad for having paid my way on paperboy money, and later on part-time at the 7-11 money)

Hook up with him and mail it to him. Jim
