I sent an email inquiring about the availability of a 1581 controller, but never got a response. Does anyone up near Toronto know if this is still an active seller?? The website is www.jppbm.com

As far as I know, he's still in business. Try him again at the email address listed on his site (it's current) and if you don't get a response, send me a PM and I'll phone him for you and ask him to send you some email.

Kind of on the subject. How many people have used this? What drives have you had luck with?

I bought one of his boards at a Chicago show.. Can't remember which drive I used (as it never got used and I sold it) but it worked fine for me.

I think I will try getting one. 1581's are expensive on Ebay. Well, $80 or so. A kit and a cheap floppy might be my solution.

Joe's always been slow with e-mail. I have his business card here, it lists his business number as 416-240-8993. You could try that to get ahold of him quicker.

Awesome, thanks!
Yes, Joe is still in business, but apparently has had some problems with email lately. Controllers on the way!
