After reading the "rundlc" article on misleading Atari 2600 box art, I really felt compelled to offer my opinion on the subject, after all I bought these things, then.
We all knew the machine's capabilities were very limited, the box art fired up your imagination while playing the game.
Judging by the readily availability of 2600 boxes and instructions today, people liked the art as much as the cartridges
Games like Scott Adams Adventure on the VIC, the box art was not only inspirational but also full of clues.
My cartridges, be it on the 2600 or home computers are not complete without the box art.
People these days don't get the fact that box art was part of the experience.

Wow, I am really trying to figure out what is going on in that last picture. I cannot read the language (Uuno Turhapuro muuttaa maalle). It is either very sinister, or very agricultural :-)

It is either very sinister, or very agricultural :-) Maybe Facebook's "Farmville" started out as an obscure Finnish C-64 game.

Hey.. They did woke up.. I have heard about time difference, but this must be record.. Yes. Its about Finnish comedy, ´Uuno Turhapuro´ is name and ´Muuttaa maalle´ -> ´Move to the countryside´. At game he try collect money to save mansion. Game is quite difficult. Game starts when ´Uunos´ wife has left him, he finds note from empty fridge and moves to countryside.. Where is ofcourse lot hot Finnish women after him, even he looks way he does.. Well... You can try it with C64 emulator
